Phantom of the Opera
Week commencing 19th June 2006 started pretty slowly but by the time Wednesday arrived it was time to start the weekend. On Wednesday evening Phil and I went to a surprise birthday party held at one of the guys from works houses. Mark Hopkins who's party it was had no idea what was going on despite his wife almost blowing it several times during the week including copying him in on one of the party e-mails. Mark still didn't click which suggests he either doesn't read his e-mails or he is no the brightest tool in the box. Anyway there was masses of food and beverages and we took part in a game of 'Washers' where you basically fling metal discs trying to land them inside a rather small scoring area. Don't think I will be joining the olympic team just yet as me and another guy got tanked by Phil and his mate.
Thursday night and another night out. This time a barbeque at another workmates in Illinois. Rob Rhea put on a mean spread of Bratwurst and Humburgers. Well he didnae really his housmate did all the cooking but Phil and i soon polished it of. A burger a beer and a game of cards was pretty much the theme of the night.
On Saturday night we had tickets to the Broadway show 'Phantom of the Opera'. This event was held at the Fox Theatre in St Louis (see picture). I hadn't seen this particular show before but it was pretty entertaining and provided me with something a bit different on a Saturday night.
